Founded by Kimberly Crew in 1990, Computer Systems and Solutions (Laptop Service Center) , the parent company of Technology Playground has been providing outstanding value to customers in the education market. The decision was made to create Technology Playground and the Technology Community Center as a way to increase the company’s focus on supporting success in education. We believe that strong teachers employing simple-to-use-technology backed with readily available support will create the kind of learning experience that engages and enriches the lives of students.

We have committed 30% of our profits to be returned to the less fortunate citizens of Philadelphia. These dollars help feed the homeless and shelter the abused through a non-profit agency, Resources for Human Development, Inc. This is a long-standing commitment for which she has been honored since 1990.

We enjoy a consistently low turnover rate of employees that gives each office an opportunity to develop long-term relationships with its customers.

About Paulette Donnellon

Paulette has over 20 years of experience working with technology, she has held positions with, Tangent Computers,  Toshiba, Okidata and American Power Conversion.  Paulette is very active in the education and non-profit communities.   She is currently a member of the Association of Teacher Educator’s Standing Committee on Technology and the Future of Teacher Education.  She is also the Vice Chairperson for the Escondido Education Foundation.  In addition to her technology and volunteer background, she also served 9 years in the Army and was deployed during  Desert Storm. 

 

 

About Tim Conrad

With nearly 20 years experience, Tim has worked in a diverse range of organizational structures including call centers, manufacturing, consulting, outsourcing, and OEM equipment providers and has held positions in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Sales Management, New Business Development, and Division Director.  Tim has managed logistics for product from manufacturing facilities in China through  delivery to end user locations across North America.  Tim has managed relationships with industry leaders such as IBM, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, HP, Micron and Casio.  And has developed and managed relationship with the US Navy and fortune 100 companies including, US Airways, Arizona State University and Qwest Communications.  Tim has also had experience in varied vertical markets such as Federal Government, State and Local government, Education, Hospitality, and Health care.  Tim is a member of the Arizona Association of School Business Officials and served in the US Air Force from 1980 – 1984 and received the Air Force good conduct medal.
